Your tax dollars are working so hard. Paying for your neighbor’s mortgage, paying for Goldman Sachs’ employees to make enormous bonuses thanks to their government bailout money being laundered through AIG (courtesy of all the Goldman Sachs alumni in the Obama administration).
Now, if Senate Democrats have their way, regardless your opinion of the procedure, you’ll be paying for your neighbor’s abortion(s), too.
Last week, Maryland Senator Barbara Mikulski, chairing the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee’s efforts to draft health care legislation, added an amendment that mandates organizations like Planned Parenthood be included as “essential community providers” of women’s health care in the state and federal partnership “gateways” (basically the federally-subsidized insurance plan).
She tried to cover it with the usual legal vagueness. But her intentions were caught and it was apparently Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT) who called her out on it. Even Senator Bob Casey Jr. (D-Pennsylvania) objected, but Mikulski refused to even consider adding language that plainly states, “Not including abortion services.” So if anyone making up to $88,000/year wants free health insurance and an abortion, the rest of us will pick up the tab.
Senator Mikulski’s amendment passed.
This week, Senator Hatch introduced an amendment that would prohibit any funding of abortion through federally- funded health insurance programs except in cases of rape, incest or to save the life of the mother.
Senator Hatch’s amendment was defeated.
Well so your saying if a woman is raped you rather her bring his DNA into the world and maybe cause more rapes through the child because some say those sick bastards out there get some of the problems from DNA its like a mental illness. also what if in the first tri-mester you find out your child will have retardation and will be having surgery after surgery and chance of survival once leaving the whoom is slim your telling her to go through the pain knowing your child will suffer and in the end you will have to morn their death after seeing their face. well abortion in those situations should be paid for

I have just three words for you: READ THE AMENDMENT. I know it’s easier to just shoot your mouth based on what you think other liberals have told you, but if you’d done your research first you would know that it contains the same provisions in place today for cases of rape, incest, or danger to the life of the mother. Otherwise, it’s a choice no one else should have to pay for. As for aborting a baby because it’s going to have problems or be less intelligent, well, your mama didn’t choose to abort you, now, did she?
I wonder, just really what the statistics are regarding women and choosing abortion? Seriously, I have run in many different socieo economical circles, and the poorest of the poor don’t typically choose abortion ~ at least that’s what my first hand experience has been.
I also believe that if you don’t want kids then don’t have them, cuz they’re not worth it(the sacrifices) if you don’t want them.
Personally I’d rather pay for women to abort, than to pay women to bring new life into this world when they’re just not wanted. But that’s me.
