It’s Resignation Time

“We have seen flickers in the intelligence of potential al-Qaida, Hezbollah.”
(Adm. James Stavridis, NATO supreme commander for Europe, speaking about Libya’s rebel force to the Senate Armed Services committee in 2011)

If you think the Middle East is having a spontaneous, multi-national BBQ of American flags, embassies, consulates and Obama-in-effigy this week simply because of a film, I have a bridge for sale.

Sure, Muslims don’t like to see their so-called “prophet” denigrated; any more than Christians like to see images of Jesus tossed into a container of urine and called art.  But modern Christians no longer take the violent parts of their good book literally and go on a rampage to kill alleged “blasphemers”, instead following the example in the newer section that says to “turn the other cheek”.

Muslims, on the other hand, remain in a state of hypertensive Old Testament barbarism and remain hell-bent on their millenium-old quest of world Islamic domination.  Free speech in the U.S. simply gives them cover, an excuse, to party like it’s 9/11.  Underneath their anger at so-called blasphemy of their so-called prophet is the goal of ridding the world of everything that doesn’t conform to Islam, to institute their mysoginist and violent culture of sharia.

This isn’t exactly rocket science so you’d expect those in the highest positions of leadership in the U.S. would remain vigilent, particularly on the anniversary of Islam’s greatest modern accomplishment:  the killing of some 3,000 Americans on U.S. soil in 2001.  Instead, what happened this week is that Hilary Clinton and her boss, Barack Obama, killed 4 Americans in Libya; much the same way as Eric Holder killed border patrol agent Brian Terry with Fast and Furious.  Whether through either sheer and utter incompetenance or the unforgivable sin of deliberate inaction, the buck stops at the empty chair behind the Resolute desk.

It was common knowledge that 9/11 anniversary attacks were being planned.  Statements were published all over various foreign medias talking about revenge for the recent assassination of Sheikh Abu Yahya al-Libi. The Jerusalem Post had an article on 9/9/12 referencing a letter written on 9/4/12 that warned that Sinai-based/Gaza-based “Global Jihad” cells were planning attacks on American and Israeli embassies in Cairo.   Sean Smith, one of the Navy Seals killed in Benghazi, had even posted to one of his gaming forums hours before the attack that “We saw one of our ‘police’ that guard the compound taking pictures.”

If pressed, the answer to and meekly accepted by the lamestream media to pass along to the sheeple would most likely be that “policeman” was merely taking photos for his travel journal.

You’d not just hope but think these tidbits of trivia would be included in the president’s daily intelligence briefings.  You know, the ones our oh-so-brilliant composite president only needs to read while out on the campaign trail instead of attending in person.

Obviously President Composite didn’t read the memo.

As Secretary of State, the job of keeping safe our fellow citizens serving on foreign soils falls right into the ample lap of Hilary Clinton.  To the forever-sorrow of the families of Ambassador Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods, she chose the Eric Holder path of national defense:  no bullets to be loaded unless necessary (geeze, Hil, not even bean bags?) and there were no orders issued to put extra security – U.S. military security, to be specific – anywhere in preparation for this year’s anniversary of 9/11.

Our guess is that if she bothered to ask anyone anything, dear Hilary only checked in with her Muslim Brotherhood BFF, Huma Abedin, to get the latest taqiya about the real risks to our people in the Middle East on this year’s 9/11 anniversary.  Taking the easy way out, Hilary deliberately chose to leave our people under the dubious protection of Libyan nationals; Islamic loyalists all who ran away – right on cue – at the first sign of trouble.

And while Ambassador Stevens was allegedly being raped, tortured and killed and dragged through the streets in Benghazi (as reported by multiple Middle Eastern sources and later reported by UK papers but not by the U.S. lamestream media), Hilary’s people in Cairo were frantically trying to keep their own asses there safe by playing along with the the Islamic jihadist’s any-excuse-to-attack-Americans game through issuing a bassackwards – and later deemed “unofficial” – apology for an American exercising their first amendment right to free speech.  It didn’t keep “peaceful Islam” from burning their embassy, though, did it?

As the rest of the week played out, backlit by fiery protests and more deaths across the Middle East, instead of taking a good, hard look at the problem with forcing American-style freedoms upon those who are by long-standing culture unable and by ideology unwilling to handle it, the media wasted its breath and our bandwidth slamming Mitt Romney for calling any apology for free speech wrong and fell all over itself trying to figure out just who would have the audacity to create the really piss-poor film that sharia-lovers used as their cover to strike while they felt their chances of adding the deaths of more Americans to their body count was good.

If all of this doesn’t disgust you and even cause a shiver of fear, the LA Times reported that “Just after midnight Saturday morning, authorities descended on the Cerritos home of the man believed to be the filmmaker behind the anti-Muslim movie that has sparked protests and rioting in the Muslim world.”

They want you to believe the FBI overstepped its purview to investigate if this was some probation violation by the alleged filmmaker, but as has been pointed out in places that go unread by this administration, probation is a function of the courts, not law enforcement.  If there were questions that this Bacile character was using the internet in violation of his probation, his parole officer would have been the one to question him and, even then, what he did on the internet would not be the problem.  The FBI was sent by someone else.

We’ll give you three guesses who and the first two don’t count.

That someone else is high in the political food chain and now finds themselves globally embarrassed because their 3-1/2 years of Islamic appeasement foreign policy just blew up in their face and they were caught very, very publicly with their pants down.  But what they are doing is sending a clear message to those who despise our freedom of speech that our free speech can and will be curtailed – through intimidation if not possible by outright mandate – if it hurts their widdle sensibilities.  All those who want nothing more than global sharia have to do is figure out how to kill a prominent American or two and we’ll cave to their demands to follow their ideology, even when doing so violates our Constitutional rights.

Bottom line:  Hilary Clinton must resign.  Barack Hussein Obama must resign.

The problem is they won’t.  And we don’t have a Congress with the balls to even pretend to force them to resign.  We’ll have to usher them out ourselves in the November election, along with all those pathetic and therefore equally culpable Congress critters.

9/11: Islam Comes Out Of The Closet

As I write this, those astonishing, gut-wrenching moments after the first plane hit the World Trade Center in New York had just begun.  Personally, I was almost home after being told that morning’s meeting had been abruptly cancelled and I should not come into the office but instead return straight home and await further word.

Like for so many of us, the horrors of the next hour unfolded within the confines of my television screen; this was the stuff of which movies are made but the relentless news reports turned our world upside-down and pounded home the realization that while this was the stuff conjured by twisted, hateful minds, there would be no escape by turning off the television.  This was our new and surreal reality.  The ancient war between Christian and Muslim had come out of the closet and the cheering in the streets of the Middle East at the deaths of so many innocents could naught but seal the fate of modern Islam for all who cherish liberty.

Today, as memories that always lurk just below the surface needfully come to the fore, I cannot imagine America’s fate had the current administration been in place.  While it is true that GW had many faults, on 9/11 he stepped up in his role as leader of the greatest nation ever known to mankind and the comfort he provided then remains even now.  It was not in him as an American patriot to bow to the tyranny that Islam hides behind a guise of religious clothing; it was not in him as an American patriot to blame America for her strength, her wealth, her goodness born of allowing people to live freely.  And on that day he represented Americans as we would properly be represented:  with liberty and justice for all under the rule of law, not the rule of man.

There are many who will write with more eloquence of the events of this day; many will be the tears shed yet again as we attempt to heal a wound that can never be healed.  Many will speak of the loss of American innocence on that awful day but I would put forth that our innocence was already long gone by 9/11 and instead it was on that day as the Twin Towers fell in New York that those fundamental things that would make the United States a force to be reckoned with back in 1776 began to rise in a national consciousness willingly beaten down by the selfish lies of the progressive liberal ideology.  That we had so lost our way we elected an inexperienced, unvetted socialist as president in 2008 and filled Congress with communist sympathizers was our healing crisis; much like when an abscess finally bursts and the putrid pus becomes visible so has the antithesis to the dreams of the Founders reared its ugly head and now rushes along out in the open, hell-bent on destroying our lives.

In November 2010 we took a first swipe at that sticky oozing.  If we would truly honor those who died on 9/11, particularly those on United Airlines Flight 93 who looked the evil that is Islam in its eyes over the fields of Pennsylvania and chose to sacrifice themselves to protect the rest of us simply because they believed in an America as put forth by the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution, we will dig out the core of the abscess in November 2012 and thereby begin proper restoration of the Republic.

God bless all of those who died on this day in 2001.

God bless the United States of America.

The AP Goes P.C. With Ground-Zero Mosque

Now that His Transparency has come out in favor of allowing an enormous mosque, ironically to be called “Cordoba House”, to be built a mere two blocks from Ground Zero, the ever-fawning AP is advising its writers that the jig is up and they must be more p.c. in their descriptions of it:

1. We should continue to avoid the phrase “ground zero mosque” or “mosque at ground zero” on all platforms. (We’ve very rarely used this wording, except in slugs, though we sometimes see other news sources using the term.) The site of the proposed Islamic center and mosque is not at ground zero, but two blocks away in a busy commercial area. We should continue to say it’s “near” ground zero, or two blocks away.

WE WILL CHANGE OUR SLUG ON THIS STORY LATER TODAY from “BC-Ground Zero Mosque” to “BC-NYC Mosque.”

In short headlines, some ways to refer to the project include:

_ mosque 2 blocks from WTC site
_ Muslim (or Islamic) center near WTC site
_ mosque near ground zero
_ mosque near WTC site

It goes on to explain that Muslims have always worshipped in the area and points out that the military chapel “close to the area where hijacked American Airlines Flight 77 slammed into the [Pentagon], killing 184 people accommodates Muslim worshippers.”

In many respects, it may be said the military had no choice, however, we, the people DO.  And no Muslim with a shred of decency would deny that building a monument to Mecca and naming it after the mosque built to proclaim Islamic victory over Spain is at all a kind or neighborly thing to do.  Not to mention the allegations of funding from unsavory sources that have yet to be put to bed.

In poll after poll, whether commissioned by the left or by the right, a majority of Americans and a majority of New Yorkers don’t want the mosque built so close to Ground Zero.  But like everything else under this administration, the “wisdom” (read:  etiquette) will be trumped by the progressive liberal need to destroy the hands that feed them.

Aided and abetted by the lame-stream media.

The Giant And His “Friends”

September 15, 2009 By Another Responsible American

There is a wind blowing.  A mighty wind. The Giant, long asleep, has awakened to find his home being pillaged in the stealth of night.

And he is angry.

The Giant, who is kind, works hard, takes care of his tribe and usually keeps his own counsel, thought the thieves were Friends. He thought that by taking care of himself and his tribe, and those Friends, he would keep the land safe so his tribe could grow strong and prosper. He gladly paid a small tithe to the Friends, but that is not what they want.  The stores he has put by for the long winter, the patch of ground he has worked, they want all that, too. The Friends want to control the Giant and his tribe, so what the Giant won’t simply hand them they take and steal.  They want the Giant to be dependent on them; he has too much, they say, so they take it and make it theirs.

The Friends have never seen the Giant angry. They ignore him in his protests; they turn a deaf ear to his complaints. He has been quiet too long and that quiet has been taken as complacency. But that wasn’t what it was.  It was simply the Giant going about his business, content with his world, warts and all. He never expected his life to be perfect, but he always had options and choices and he could work with that. He sees now the Friends aren’t his friends; they have been waiting quietly for the Giant to sleep so they may take away what he has worked for, to take away his choice of how he lives. Has the Giant awakened in time?  How greedy have the Friends really become? How far will they go? They have already started to smear the Giant’s good name, to say things about him that are untrue. The Friends have already shown they might use force if the Giant doesn’t cooperate and go back to sleep.

How far will they go?

It has been many, many years since the Giant has had to fight on his own land for his right to be left alone. Can he still do it? For all the Giant holds dear, he must now fight or what he loves will be forever changed.

We, The People, of The United States of America are at the crossroads of one of the most dangerous times in our long history. Is that statement scaremongering? Over the top? I don’t think it is. The wealth of our nation is our wealth, wealth that we have earned. The government has no wealth except for what WE, THE PEOPLE, create.

Think about that.  They are borrowing on what we do, on what we will do in the future, and spending it. It is NOT their money; the government has no money but what they take from WE, THE PEOPLE.

WE are a kind and generous folk, always have been.  Are we perfect? No, we are humans. However, we should always understand and be proud of all the good we do. The money, goods and time we give freely to help others in this country as well as others.  WE, THE PEOPLE, are good folks.  We can’t forget that though they, the government, would like us to forget. They call us greedy and tell us we have no idea not only how to take care of ourselves but how to best use what we have earned though our labor and so they will take it.

This isn’t about the rich,  it is about our rights.  It is about our right to choose how we conduct our lives.  To choose how to to PURSUE our own happiness, how we live day-to-day.

It is about control.

Do we have the guts to fight this? I believe we do and it isn’t just Congress.  It is the local and state governments as well.

How do they play?  Let us count the ways.

Schools go right after busing and anything else they can think of to upset the kids and inconvenience the parents. Yet on closer inspection they have hired more administrators, given them raises, and have spent money on precious little that has to do with actual education. Plus they have to follow unfunded, useless mandates from the state and federal
governments.

At the local and state levels they say “We will cut services”; police and fire go right off the bat, yet spend $500 a pop on office chairs (yes, that happened in my state). Hire more pencil pushers and give everyone raises. Have assistants for assistants; everyone has a state car to drive, and on and on.

The Federal government …won’t even start.

They all have their hand in our pocket.  They all make laws and rules daily that take a bit more of our rights and our ability to pursue happiness.

It is time to stop “The Friends” because our “friend” they are not.

9/12

September 11, 2009 By Joan of Snark

I think almost everyone in America remembers where they were the morning of September 11, 2001, a day that will forever be known simply as “9/11”.  Whether in an office, our home, our car, our school – anywhere we were – the horrors of that day are forever etched in America’s collective memory.

What is thought of less often, though, is where we were on the morning of September 12th.  That day dawned just like any other day, yet even though that dawning came with a sun covered by the deep, ugly shadows of what so many had always thought of as the impossible, America awakened stronger than she had been in some 200-odd years.  By that dark and smoldering dawn’s early light She was deeply united, resolute and firm in Her resolve against the enemies of freedom.

It has only been a few years yet, unbelievably, politicians are starting to dumb down what happened on those two critical days.  The current administration is blatantly attempting to usurp its reality and the need for remembrance and turn it into some weird distortion of “service”, solely in furtherance of its dangerous ideologies.

I find this not only audaciously crass, but abhorrant.  It is through reverent remembrance of the reality of 9/11 that we honor those who started out that fateful day – just like they started any other day – without realizing it would be their last.   Through reverent remembrance of the reality of 9/11 we honor those who willingly sacrificed their lives trying to save others as buildings collapsed and planes crashed; whether they wore a uniform or not, each and every one of them is forever a hero.

By remembering the reality of 9/11 – that America was attacked in blind hate by those who would destroy Her simply because of Her freedoms – we honor every one of the 2,966 people who died that day.  And as we work our way through the memories, at the end we will find ourselves back once more at the morning of 9/12, the morning when we stood together in our tears and our pained confusion but certain of one thing:  America was still standing and we, the people, would not let her go down without a united fight.

 Remember, America.  Remember.

The 9/12

The 9 Principles

1. America Is Good.

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.
God “The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained.” from George Washington’s first Inaugural address.

3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.
Honesty “I hope that I shall always possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider to be the most enviable of all titles, the character of an honest man.” George Washington

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.
Marriage/Family “It is in the love of one’s family only that heartfelt happiness is known. By a law of our nature, we cannot be happy without the endearing connections of a family.” Thomas Jefferson

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.
Justice “I deem one of the essential principles of our government… equal and exact justice to all men of whatever state or persuasion, religious or political.” Thomas Jefferson

6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.
Life, Liberty, & The Pursuit of Happiness “Everyone has a natural right to choose that vocation in life which he thinks most likely to give him comfortable subsistence.” Thomas Jefferson

7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
Charity “It is not everyone who asketh that deserveth charity; all however, are worth of the inquiry or the deserving may suffer.” George Washington

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.
On your right to disagree “In a free and republican government, you cannot restrain the voice of the multitude; every man will speak as he thinks, or more properly without thinking.” George Washington

9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.
Who works for whom? “I consider the people who constitute a society or a nation as the source of all authority in that nation.” Thomas Jefferson
