Add one more.."NO incumbents need apply" at voting time. We all should carefully study everyone running for office, EXCEPT incumbents. Simply vote for the most promising. If no other candidate is available, write in a candidate you think can do the job. It is not necessary to spend any money, or do huge campaigns for anyone. This policy should apply at all levels starting from dogcatcher in the village, up through the towns, cities, counties, state, and federal elections.
After all is said and done, the incumbents are responsible for the mess we are in. Time to sweep the wasters out and start over. Campaigning for this is real simple. Tell everyone you know, and ask them to pass it on. Imagine the stunned bureaucracy when votes are counted. As everyone will be new in office, it is a level playing field. No entrenched interests, no lobbying, and the new thieves-in-office will be untrained and not efficient at stealing our money. As this method should be continued every election, they will know that they cannot build another massive bureauocracy. They have one shot at making life better for everybody. If this is done, we citizens may actually regain control of our country. Much needed reforms of spending and taxation as well as unnecessary laws can be repealed. Then your voice can be heard screaming about things you do not like.
